Formed by Ma Crow and Dale Farmer after years of musical collaboration, the band grew out of their shared work promoting Farmer’s film The Mountain Minor and their deep connection to Appalachian heritage. Ma Crow’s expressive vocals and rhythmic drive pair naturally with Farmer’s songwriting and storytelling, creating a strong foundation that Wendy Muncy’s harmonies and Justine Cefalu’s fiddle build upon. Together, they focus on engaging the audience with lively tunes, authentic energy, and a sense of fun that makes every performance feel personal and alive.

Dale began playing the banjo in his teenage years and attended college in Nashville, where he traveled for 5 years with various bluegrass and bluegrass gospel bands. For several years Dale has performed as a multi-instrumentalist with his two bands, The Back Porch Hounds and the Jericho Old-time Band. Dale is also a published songwriter;

Dale is also a published songwriter; he has written and composed all of the band's original songs. In 2017 he wrote and directed the independent film, The Mountain Minor, inspired by his family’s Appalachian music and migration experience. The film co-starred Ma Crow and won 11 Film Festival awards.

Wendy brings a dynamic dimension to the group with her playing, vocals, and stage presence. Although she is relatively new on the performance scene, Wendy has been playing music for years. She sings and plays for her church, as well as in a Bluegrass band with husband John, along side legendary musicians, fiddler Marvin Davis and banjo pl

She sings and plays for her church, as well as in a Bluegrass band with husband John, along side legendary musicians, fiddler Marvin Davis and banjo player Sherrill Jennings. Wendy and John play music, run an auction company, and have raised a family together on their small farm in Farmersville, Ohio.

Fiddler Justine Cefalu brings energy and soul to every performance with a style rooted in old-time, bluegrass, Celtic, and Appalachian traditions. Influenced by Celtic and French Canadian fiddle music, her playing blends strong rhythmic drive with expressive melodies and a lively stage presence.
